HILLTOP
The Hilltop neighborhood gets it name from the fact that it is higher in elevation than the surrounding parts of the city. In the center of the neighborhood is Cranmer Park, with a view of the Front Range mountains. The Graland Country Day School, an independent, co-educational day school for grades K-9 is located in the neighborhood, as is Temple Emanuel, Carson Elementary, Steck Elementary and Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences.
Hilltop was developed in the 1940s and 1950s, and since the 1990s, many of the original houses have being demolished and replaced with large houses on medium-sized lots.
Hilltop boasts a wealth of parks, period architecture, and manicured yards. Cranmer Park, Burns Park, and Robinson Parks lie within the neighborhood, while a half-dozen others including Crestmoor Park, Pulaski Park and Cherry Creek Bikeway, Mayfair, and Lindsley are just blocks away.
CRESTMOOR
The Crestmoor neighborhood is predominantly a residential neighborhood comprised of single-family homes situated on large lots situated on wide and winding streets. Manicured lawns, an abundance of healthy trees, and historic homes adorn this area. The heart of this tranquil neighborhood is Crestmoor Park. Softball fields, tennis courts, playground and ample grassy areas invite residents to enjoy the magic of Crestmoor Park all year long.
Crestmoor’s aesthetic primarily consists of neo-classic, colonial, and Tudor mansions along with traditional ranch style homes found in filing two and three. The Crestmoor Swimming and Tennis Club is one of the largest draws to the neighborhood located directly across the street from the park, and offers all summer fun for members and their families. Summer barbecues, tennis, and swimming are just a few of the activities they offer.
